There is no real story to my absence besides that its summer and the hungama is FULL ON in our families. Shaima khala came over from khi to sort out her paperwork and therefore we’re constantly being treated to yummies for breakfast lunch and dinner. She has this distinct style of playing with flavors and is always concoting yummy food!
We spend the day gallavanting (and tiring out) the kiddies and then as soon as they fall asleep, we have mad sessions of boardgames along with post dinner snacks and chats that last into the wee hours of the night. We’re definitely enjoying our time with her alhamdolillah.
We just had our youngest chaachi’s ruksati and walmeemah. It was LOTS of fun alhamdolillah. the mehndi was held at our house and it felt awesome. Shaima again did all the decor – mostly last minute stuff we could muster but it still looked awesome mA. It was a fun and loud dholki mA – very reminiscent (still not par though:P) of dholkis in my side of the family. For the valima, M, N and I wore matching saris that i got made in pak. it looked fab, if i must say so myself. while the guys wore suits that matched us.
The shaadi hungama is still on and this weekend I’ve got my cousin and her family down from NJ for the weekend for a wedding. Ammi, abbu and Nayma come tommorow iA. Today, I’m trying my best to have the freezer stocked up before they come so we have more time to spend together as opposed to worrying bout chores, food etc. We’re going to have a packed house inshaAllah, with lots more fun to come iA.
Till next time! 😉
